Not only can this be quite frustrating since many of your friends will learn much more at work, but it can also hold you back in your private life since you will often not be able to make profound financial decisions and other decisions that could greatly affect your overall quality of life.

Since many people want to work in HR and you will not learn many skills that will differentiate you from your competition, you will also be easily replaceable. In turn, you will have pretty poor job security and may get fired from one day to the other.
